This three-day trip from Hanoi combines Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island, covering the best of this area which is known as Halong bay. Unique kayaking to the quiet Lan Ha Bay and hiking in the National Park of Cat Ba are the highlights. If you are a real explorers who dedicate to nature and adventure, this trip is a perfect choice.

Day 1: Hanoi – Cat Ba Island – Lan Ha Bay
7:00 am: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi for the 3-hour journey by bus past Hai Phong City the largest port in the Red River Delta. The bus ride on the highway also provides a good view of the rice field and local villages all the way to Cat Hai Island.
10:00 am: Arrive in Bến Gót harbour and board the speed boat to Cat Ba Island. Upon arrival, we transfer to the bus for a quick ride on the island to Cat Ba Town.
11:20 am: Arrive at Cat Ba Town where our staff will meet you then transfer you to our office at Ben Beo Pier. Following a short introduction, you will board the Junk and cruise in style around the unique floating villages, home to many families then anchor in a quiet lagoon on Lan Ha Bay, a delicious lunch will be served on the junk.
After lunch, we keep cruising to Áng Vạn Tà (known as Dark Cave and Bat Cave). There we get on the kayaks and paddle through the beautiful scenery of the bay we will be able to paddle into Dark Cave and Bat Cave (if the tide permits) and explore the area. Kayaking in the lagoon that is only accessible by kayak, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the secluded lagoon. Later in the afternoon, we kayak back to the Junk and cruise to Dam Ong Cam (opposite Ha Long Bay) to anchor for the night. This is a very quiet area with a beautiful quiet location, dinner will be served onboard the junk. Relax in the evening on deck and enjoy cold malt beverages (beer) available on board.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Cat Ba Island
8:30 am: After breakfast, we will cruise to Đầu Bê Island, this area is part of the large Bai Tu Long Bay and its highlight is Hồ Ba Hầm (Three Tunnels Lagoon and Cave) for more kayaking and visit Đền Bà Men Temple (a sacred temple for fishermen of the region). after a stop on the beach and the temple, we will kayak back to the junk and head toward Three Peaches Beach which is famous for its’ crystal clear waters and clean sand.
11:30 am: After a stop on the island and temple, we will kayak back to the junk and then cruise toward Three Peaches Beach, famous for its’ crystal clear waters and clean beaches, we drop anchor and served an authentic seafood lunch amidst the beautiful scenery of the calm emerald waters and limestone cliffs. After lunch, we will do more kayaking around the area and find private beaches for swimming and relaxing.
16:00 pm: After the afternoon of kayaking and swimming we get back on the junk and cruise toward Cat Ba Town arriving before sunset. We transfer you from the pier to the Cat Ba Blue Lagoon Homestay with time to relax and shower before a Vietnamese Dinner at the homestay.

Day 3: Cat Ba Island – Hanoi
8:30 am: After breakfast, pick you up and van transfer you to Cat Ba national park for the day out trek and hike which leads you to the top of Ngu Lam Peak offering a great view of the whole island and its biosphere reserve. Following the hike and trek, we’ll visit Hang Quan Y(known as Army Hospital cave)- an amazing man–made building in American War 1962 which played an important role as a bomb shelter and rescue centre for locals and soldiers.
12:30 pm: We transfer you back to the homestay for lunch and have time for a shower and relax
15:30 pm: When you are ready we transfer you to Cat Ba town to meet the bus to take you back to Hanoi. The trip ends at around 19:00 in Hanoi.

Day 1: Hanoi – Cat Ba Island – Lan Ha Bay
7:00 am: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi for a 3-hour journey through rice fields and villages to Hai Phong and travel the longest sea-crossing bridge in Southeast Asia.
10:00 am: Arrive in Bến Gót harbor on Cát Hải island and aboard the speed boat to Cat Ba Island. Following the speed boat is a lovely ride of 10 minutes through Cat Ba Island which has great views of the sea and forest on the way to Cái Viềng pier in Cat Ba town.
11:30 am: Our guide will meet you and take you to Ben Beo Pier. Following a short introduction, you will board the Junk and cruise while a seafood lunch is served to the starting spot where we get in our kayaks and paddle through the beautiful scenery of the bay and floating villages. We will kayak through the beautiful scenery of the bay and if the tide permits, will be able to paddle right into Dark Cave and Bat Cave.Kayaking around the lagoon behind the cave to enjoy the beautiful scenery,
16:00 am: We meet the junk and cruise back to Cat Ba Island before sunset and enjoy dinner. We transfer you to the homestay and relax and clean up before dinner at the homestay, a great house hidden in a tranquil village on Cat Ba Island.

Day 2: Cat Ba Island – Hanoi
8:30 am: After breakfast at the homestay, you will start cycling to Cat Ba National Park and then spend 2 hours trekking through the Kim Giao Forest to the top of Ngu Lam Peak where you can see the panoramic view of Cat Ba Island a must-see for photographers. Following the hike and trek, we’ll visit Hang Quan Y (known as Army Hospital cave) an amazing man–made building in the American War 1962 which played an important role as a bomb shelter and rescue center for locals and soldiers.
After visiting Hospital Cave we’ll head back to the homestay. time to take a shower the enjoy a Vietnamese lunch at the homestay. take time to rest at the homestay and wait for the bus back to Hanoi.
15:30: Bus picks you then head back to Hanoi. The trip ends around 19:30 in Hanoi.
