Day 1: Hanoi – Cat Ba Island – Lan Ha Bay

7:00 am: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi for a 3-hour journey through rice fields and villages to Hai Phong and travel the longest sea-crossing bridge in Southeast Asia.

10:00 am: Arrive in Bến Gót harbor on Cát Hải island and aboard the speed boat to Cat Ba Island. Following the speed boat is a lovely ride of 10 minutes through Cat Ba Island, which has great views of the sea and forest on the way to Cái Viềng pier in Cat Ba town.

11:30 am: Our guide will meet you and take you to Ben Beo Pier. After a brief introduction, you’ll board a traditional junk boat and cruise to an anchor point in Lan Ha Bay, where a fresh seafood lunch will be served.

After lunch, we’ll begin our kayaking adventure, paddling through the stunning scenery of the bay and passing by floating fishing villages. If the tide allows, we can kayak into Dark Cave and Bat Cave, and continue exploring the peaceful lagoon hidden behind the caves, surrounded by beautiful limestone cliffs and tranquil waters.

16:30 am: After paddling the bay, we meet the junk and cruise back to Lan Ha Floating Homestay before sunset and enjoy dinner. Check in, have a shower and enjoy Dinner. Overnight at the Floating homestay in a fishing village.

Day 2: Cat Ba – Viet Hai Village – Hanoi
After a delicious breakfast to fuel your day, we will cruise toward Viet Hai Village. Today is all about exploring the natural beauty of Cat Ba Island and experiencing the peaceful charm of Viet Hai Village, located within Cat Ba National Park, which covers half of the island.

We’ll take a scenic bicycle ride through beautiful forests and mountains to reach the village. Once there, you can choose to either relax and enjoy the rural lifestyle or take on a two-hour trek. The hike is more challenging but rewards you with breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, plus fantastic photo opportunities.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Afterward, we’ll cycle back to the pier and board the boat to return to Ben Beo Pier, arriving in time to catch the bus back to Hanoi.

The trip concludes around 19:30 in Hanoi.
